Yak Write was started basically because I suck at typing.  While I am thankful I took typing in High School, I was never the speediest typist in the class.  As I ran my businesses, it was always one of the things that I felt really decreased my productivity.   As I knew that I did not have the time nor the inclination or frankly, ability to type super fast, I started looking for people to transcribe for me.  While I have always been a good talker and can Yak up a storm, I figured there had to be a better way to get my Yakking turned into words rather than paying the $120 to $90 per hour that is normally charged for this.

So I set out to find some of the best transcriptionists out there and I did!  I originally just got them for myself but then I happened to mention to some of my friends what I was doing and they wanted transcription work done too.  The next thing you know, I was in the Transcription business.

Now that I was in “business” I wanted to keep my overhead low, and the prices way, way down!  What I have is a great team of transcriptionists that get the luxury of working from their home rather than having the expense and waste of time  slogging into an office every day and they can work when, and as much or as little as they want, when they want.

Just think about it.  This saves them on clothes, wear and tear and the expense of driving every day, not to mention not wasting an hour or more commuting 5 days a week.  This allows them to charge me less and actually make more money at the same time.  Now stay at home Moms do not have to choose between work and their children and paying a sitter.   We have other transcriptionists that can now make a good wage and still live in a small town and enjoy the lower cost of living and not have to worry about a long commute.

What this all means is that you can now get the benefit of my just trying to find good Transcription Services at a Great Price.  You get to use the same ones that I use for my work.
