YakWrite is about you and your scarcest resources, time and money. It is about giving you the freedom to fully pursue what is important in your business. Hold up your hands and fingers and look at them … do you see them typing or building what is important in your business or in your job?

YakWrite was started because I did not have enough time to type and fully pursue what was important in my business. Typing is not my forte nor what turns a profit in my company. Typing is a drain on my productivity. When I determined that I did not have the time nor desire to type, I searched for other people to take this task (burden) from me. In this search, I found that most transcription services charge $90 to $120 per hour. Ouch. There had to be a better way. Because I have an executive HR background (and some common sense), I was able to screen and find some of the best transcriptionists out there.  While the original intent was to use them in my business, some of my friends saw what I was doing, and asked if they could have transcription work done for them. The next thing you know, I was in the transcription business.

YakWrite is about you. YakWrite is about respecting your time and your hard-earned money. We keep our overhead and prices low…  not because we sacrifice quality, but because we have great systems and great people.

Our team of transcriptionists work from home verses having the expense and waste of slogging into an office every day. This saves them money on clothes, daily driving, child care, and in commute time. It allows them to charge YakWrite (and our wonderful client base) less as they actually make more money.

If you have good quality audio and are not in a hurry, then by all means, use us.  We strive for a 3 to 4 day turnaround on good quality audios.
